Whiskey Brigade

About

WB is an Horde World of Warcraft casual raiding guild on the Eredar(US) PvP server. Originally formed in the early days of the server, Whiskey Brigade grew to be one of the best casual raiding guild, focusing on dominating end-game content. The guilds’ primary objectives are to raid for fun, to make progress and gear-up members whilst doing it to enable us to progress further and see more of the raid content. Be aware, we are a raid guild and not a raid community, so all raid members must be guild members. What separates us from other guilds is our desire and dedication to conquering end game content while still maintaining a casual atmosphere. We’ve beaten all current content in-game. You can view our raid progression page.

Mission Statement:

We are a mature raiding guild, this means 18+ as a general rule. The Age restriction is not due to how certain ages act, but it is due to how we act on raids. Loot whores and the “geif EpixX now plx” crowd will not be tolerated on raids. Granted everyone raids to get better gear to some extent, but we expect all members to put the greater good for the raid above their own personal wishes. Ask yourself: If someone else recieves an item you really want is the best outcome, if they would get more benefit for the raid by having it? All members need to accept that raid leaders decision is final and they must trust us to do the right thing. Anyone feeling grievance should make one of the raid admins aware at the time (We do need to know). However, leave discussions / arguments about it till after the raid end.

Looting System:

After much deliberation and thought the Admins of the guild have decided that the fairest way of distributing loot from the 25 man instances is to make use of a Loot Council whose job will be to ensure that loot is distributed equitably across the guild.

The loot council will consist of the Guild Leader, a class leader for each class and any other admins present on the raid. The role of the loot council member will be to fairly represent his class compatriots in any discussion on loot matters. It should be emphasised no favour or bias will be tolerated and each loot council member will be tasked solely with representing the needs of his class members to the best of his or her abilities.

When an item becomes available all those with this item on their list will be asked to make it known to the loot master on the given raid if they wish to be considered for the item. This is accomplished by doing a /roll for the item. Winning the roll doesn’t mean you’ll get the item. If you are rolling for offspec, please let that be known.

In the event of multiple people needing the same item, the loot council will consider the following aspects in order of priority.

- Which recipient if receiving the item will benefit the raid the most in terms of advancing further into our targeted instances. This will inevitably lead in the case of tier items to prioritisation according to the role you perform for example.

- Which raid member would most benefit individually from the item.

- Length of time since last receiving an item.

New Raiders and Loot:

New Raiders have no immediate right to loot. These players are all still involved in the trial process.

Priority will be given to Mains.

If no main needs the item will then it will be offered to offspec, alts and new raiders.

Loot Conclusion:

It should be emphasized that the sole purpose of gear from the perspective of the guild council is to enable raid progression and it is our hope and expectation that guild members will approach the raids and their gearing expectations on this basis.
